Volunteer: Giving The Gift Of Time
Volunteering is one of the best ways for the community to become involved with Brain Injury Services and to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. BIS would not be as successful without the energy and dedication of our outstanding group of volunteers. There are several opportunities available to the community, including participation through our Volunteer Program, helping with special events and becoming involved with our Board of Directors.

The Volunteer Program of BIS includes:

· PALS program
· Person-centered volunteering
· Other unique, case-by-case volunteer needs

By pairing a survivor and a volunteer with similar interests, PALS provides opportunities for survivors of brain injury to connect with new people and socialize in the community. The Volunteer Placement program assists the survivor in locating a volunteer position in the community which matches their interests, skills and abilities.

For more information or to volunteer please email Michelle Thyen, Director of Volunteer Programs, at mthyen@braininjurysvcs.org
